What is your stance on alcohol? Please explain and use the Word of God as a reference. Just curious!
The bible does not say it’s a sin to have alcohol.Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding, and wine was a very popular drink in those days. The sin is gluttony; when something becomes an idol or excessive in your life. Drinking and being drunk all the time is a sin. Now you have to be sensible with the way you live your life. If you were a pastor it would not be wise to promote drinking alcohol simply because so many people tend to abuse it. You would want to support spiritual purity. Now being a christian life coach, I believe its okay to have a drink every once in a while. I see no problem with that and I’m not convicted. Hope that helps Zach
I’m not here to convince you to believe any different in your faith. However I am here to speak on behalf of the Word of God. The bible(God’s Spoken Word) doesn’t speak of moderation. It speaks exactly the opposite. Heaven and Hell-right or wrong-light-and darkness. There is no such thing as in between. A little sin leavens the whole lump(Galatians 5:9) Jesus said He would had rather not known you but because you are lukewarm(In Between) He will spew you out of His mouth. Its either right to do so or not to do it at all. People will never be delivered from alcoholism by saying they can still drink just don’t drink too much and you will be fine. Or you can commit adultery just don’t do it too much. Or you can steal just don’t steal all the time. The bible doesn’t teach this and neither does God allow this to take place in the children of God. Let no brother lay a stumbling block before another brother lest he be tempted and fall into temptation. You say getting drunk is sin but yet you allow him to drink a little and be tempted. God does not tempt people. Let no man say when he is tempted I am tempted of God for God can’t be tempted with evil neither He tempteth any man(James 1:13). Abstain from the appearance of evil(1 Thessalonians 5:22).
Your ministry could be so much more. I admire your passion and yes God does use those who won’t teach the entire truth to reveal himself to those in need but you will be held accountable for everything taught to the bride of Christ. Even those who are lost. I will be praying for you earnestly that God softens your heart so you can receive the truth about alcohol. Please and again I say please do not allow satan to deceive you into thinking that endorsing alcohol in moderation will bring more people to follow your ministry. This will not work in the times we are living in to deliver those who are captive to this sickness to be set free. Please hear my warning from a brother in Christ who wants to see you give more Glory to the father. BTW the word wine in the greek and Hebrew language is translated into several different words meaning different things. When wine is referenced in the bible it can be translated into fermented wine-unfermented wine and grapejuice of the vine. Not every word (wine) in the scriptures is referring to an alcoholic beverage. I know this from my pastor who went to school for several years just to understand ancient hebrew cultures. Wine doesn’t mean what you think it means. Do some research on this and you will find there is a lot of information regarding the word before it was translated in today’s KJV version.
